NASCAR at Texas 2016: Lineup, starting grid for Duck Commander 500

Carl Edwards has been competitive in the early going this 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, ranking fourth in points with five top-seven finishes in six races so far, but is still looking for his first checkered flag of the year. Edwards will try to rectify that on Saturday night when he starts in the pole position for the 2016 Duck Commander 500 from Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth.

Edwards finished as high as second in Phoenix earlier this season, and was in fifth place at Daytona and Atlanta, the first two races of the year. He enters Sunday with 206 points, 14 behind leader Kevin Harvick and in fourth place.

But Edwards has the pole on Saturday, thanks to a top qualifying speedy of 194.609 mph. He won the race back in 2008, and on Sunday will try to become the fourth two-time winner of the event.

Harvick starts in 22nd position on Sunday, while Jimmie Johnson and Kyle Busch - ranked second and third in points - start 11th and 15th, respectively. Johnson won the 2015 Duck Commander 500, while Busch captured the event in 2013.

Fox will televise the race from Texas beginning with pre-race coverage at 7 p.m. ET, followed by the race at 7:30 p.m., with Mike Joy on play-by-play alongside analysts Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip, plus Larry McReynolds, Jamie Little, Vince Welch and Matt Yocum on the coverage as well.
