NASCAR at Dover International Speedway 2016: Lineup, starting grid for AAA 400

We have reached the one-third point of the 2016 NASCAR Sprint Cup season with the AAA 400 Drive For Autism on Sunday afternoon from Dover International Speedway in Delaware, the 12th of 36 races this year.

Points leader Kevin Harvick has the pole position Sunday thanks to posting the fastest practice lap on Friday at 165.145 mph. Full qualifying was washed away by rain. Harvick, looking for his second straight Dover win, is coming off a second-place finish last week at Kansas Speedway, and this season he has 10 top-10 finishes in 12 races, including four top-five finishes.

Dale Earnhardt, Jr. starts in second position at a track where his father, Dale Earnhardt, won in 1989 and 1993 and Earnhardt Jr. was victorious in 2001.

Kyle Busch, a two-time Dover winner and last week’s winner at Kansas, starts in third position on Sunday. He is a two-time winner at Dover (2008, 2010) and has three wins and two second-place finishes in his last six races this season.

Jimmie Johnson, a 10-time winner at Dover including each of the last two years, starts in 21st position on Sunday.

Fox Sports 1 will televise the race from Dover at 1 p.m. ET, with Mike Joy on play-by-play alongside analysts Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip, plus Larry McReynolds, Jamie Little, Vince Welch and Matt Yocum on the coverage as well.
