We have reached the halfway point in the 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup season, and while the drivers have descended upon Charlotte, we are still a week away from the Coca-Cola 600. Up first is All-Star weekend, beginning Friday night with the 2016 Sprint Showdown.
NASCAR Sprint Showdown 2016: Time, TV schedule and live stream

The Sprint All-Star race comes Saturday, and includes anyone who has won a Sprint Cup race since the start of 2015, plus previous winners of the Sprint All-Star race itself.
That leaves the Friday night Sprint Showdown, which serves as a qualifying of sorts for three spots on Saturday. The race features three segments of 20, 20 and 10 laps. The winner of each segment earns a spot in Saturday’s All-Star race.
Among the drivers in the lineup for Friday’s race are Danica Patrick, Chase Elliott, Ryan Blaney and Austin Dillon. Clint Bowyer and Greg Biffle, who each captured All-Star Race spots in the 2015 Sprint Showdown, are also in the field on Friday, hoping for a repeat.
Fox Sports 1 race coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET with host Chris Myers and analysts Jeff Gordon, Darrell Waltrip and Michael Waltrip, plus reporters Jamie Little and Matt Yocum.
The race can be followed online both before and during the action using Fox Sports Go. The Sprint Showdown race will re-air on Fox Sports 1 on Saturday at 6 a.m. and 11 a.m. ET.
