Coca-Cola 600: Lineup, starting grid for NASCAR Charlotte 2016

Carl Edwards will look for his third win of the 2016 NASCAR season, and will try for a repeat performance at the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday evening from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, N.C.

Edwards won the 2015 Coca-Cola 600, his first win at the event, and will start in ninth position on Sunday. Edwards enters Sunday fourth in points this season, with wins at Bristol and Richmond. Only Kyle Busch has three wins in 2016 -- besides Edwards, the others with two wins are Jimmie Johnson and Brad Keselowski.

Martin Truex Jr. has the pole position on Sunday night, looking for his first win at Charlotte. He finished fifth in this race last year.

Kevin Harvick is the points leader through 12 races in 2016, with five top-five finishes on the season, including a win at Phoenix. He starts in eighth position on Sunday night, looking for a better finish at Charlotte than he had in 2015. Last year, Harvick led with 21 laps remaining but was unable to regain that lead after a pit stop, and Edwards led the rest of the way.

Harvick has won this race in 2011 and 2013.

Fox will televise the race from Charlotte at 6 p.m. ET, though with a pre-race show hosted by Chris Myers at 5:30 p.m.. Mike Joy will call Sunday night’s race alongside analysts Jeff Gordon and Darrell Waltrip, plus Larry McReynolds, Jamie Little, Vince Welch and Matt Yocum on the coverage as well.
