(Sports Network) - Dwyane Wade poured in a game-high 30 points and James Jones buried six three-pointers en route to 20 points as Miami spoiled Philadelphia’s season opener with a 97-87 victory at the Wells Fargo Center.
LeBron James totaled 16 points, six rebounds and seven assists and Chris Bosh, the other member of the “Big Three,” contributed 15 points and seven boards for the victors.

The Miami Heat came into the the 4th quarter in Philadelphia holding a commanding 80-54 advantage, but looked lackadaisical down the stretch. In the final minute, the 76ers drew the deficit to eight points and threatened to make a game of it.
Philadelphia outscored Miami 33-17 in the final quarter. The 76ers trailed the Heat 95-87 with the ball and 40 seconds left, but Lou Williams was called on a charge as he went for a lay-up to close the lead to six and maybe give the Sixers an outside shot at tying the game.
