VIDEO: Rajon Rondo Dunks, Paul Pierce Mocks, Chris Bosh ‘Takes A Picture’

If you want to use a boxing analogy to describe last night's Heat-Celtics game, it's this: the Celtics kept punching, and the Heat kept falling back. The final score was 112-107, but anyone who saw the game knows it was not nearly as close as the score indicated.

It all got started early on. Already up 10 points in the first quarter, the Celtics ran a typical high screen and roll for Rajon Rondo. He beat the screen, flew by Zydrunas Ilgauskas, who was supposed to provide the help, and ... well, you can see the rest for yourself.

That kind of sums up the whole game, right? Rondo surged down the lane, and Chris Bosh watches it happen. Sure, he could step up and either take a charge, contest the shot, give a foul or (gasp!) block it. But no, he, like all of us, was amazed by Rondo's athleticism and decided to watch. Hey Chris, even basic cable will let you see Rondo's dunk after the fact.

Oh, and in case you were wondering, the Celtics were pretty happy about winning.

Paul Pierce, never afraid to speak his mind, had this to say on his Twitter account.

It's been a pleasure to bring my talents to south beach now on to Memphisless than a minute ago via Twitter for iPhone

And then there's Glen Davis, who uttered the most Glen Davis line after the game. Via Adrian Wojnarowski.

When it was over, Big Baby Davis marched out of the showers and declared: "No one can spoil this night. Good for us to come in and spank that ass."

If there’s one benefit to the Heat coming together like they did, it’s that it invoked the kind of hatred this league hasn’t seen in a long, long time. The Celtics played -- and later talked -- with an edge that doesn’t exist in the NBA anymore. Thanks, Miami, for that.
