JaVale McGee continued his stellar play into the second quarter, obtaining a double/double with 7:40 left to go in the half. He provided more than half of the Wizards’ rebounds. John Wall went to the bench with a big goose egg in the points column, and Arenas and Hinrich came back into provide offense.

Elton Brand kept up his stellar shooting, finishing the quarter 8-10 from the field with 17 points. Every person that took the court for the Sixers was able to score, helping stave off a mini-run from the Wizards. They have 14 fast-break points, and two fewer turnovers than the Wizards. They finished the half on a 16-5 run.
With just seconds left on the clock, the Wizards brought in Alonzo Gee, brought up from the D-League and making his first appearance in the game.
