Toronto Gets Late Black Friday Deal In Form Of Raptors Tickets And Pizza

Down here in Canada’s Pants, we’re celebrating our tradition of spending more than we have on the latest and greatest gewgaws ... by spending more on newer and better gewgaws. We call this Black Friday. Meanwhile, in Toronto, the deal of the century is afoot: basketball and pizza for $12.99!

↵

That's two tickets to a game that might actually be good, because Washington's visit to Toronto this coming Wednesday may be the first time to catch John Wall live north of the border; Wall has been struggling with a leg injury, though, and has already missed one Raptors-Wizards game this year. (Wall did play last night in the Wizards' 117-97 loss to the Hawks.)

↵But it also prompts an interesting question: which item in this deal is the real steal? I checked the Pizza Pizza website — I had to figure out a Canadian postal code to do so — and it seems that one can order a large pizza for $10.49. Does that make the tickets an absurd value at just $2.50? Or are you basically paying extra for a pizza that comes with a chance to see two sub-.500 NBA squads?
