Celtics Vs. Cavaliers: Boston Dismantles Cleveland, Wins 106-87
Glen Davis, off the bench for the Celtics, put up a double double on the night, with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Marquis Daniels also contributed 16 points off the bench. In fact, the Boston bench made up a third of their total points. The starters made a good showing, with the big three getting 34 points collectively. Rondo finished with 23 points (season high), 12 assists and five rebounds.
Once the clock went under five minutes, the game became a jumpshooting clinic. For every long jumper Cleveland put up, Boston matched them on the other end. The Celtics shot 50.6% on the game, while the Cavaliers could only manage 39%.
The lead swelled to as many as 19 points, but the Cavaliers stuck around, clawing their way back in every so often. In the end, the Celtics defense just dismantled the speedy Cavaliers offense, and they were unable to close out any significant kind of run.
