Paul Millsap Leads Utah To Win In Overtime Against Heat, 116-114

The Jazz were able to come from 22 points down to draw within two points with seven minutes left in the game. Shortly after, they tied it on a three from Ronnie Price. The lid came off the basket for Utah, and they made it a game early in the fourth. All of the statistics turned around for the Jazz at the end. They climbed back into the rebounds column to finish with 44 and surpassed the Heat in shooting percentage (48 percent-44 percent). But when you have Dwayne Wade on your team, you're never really in trouble.

Partway through the fourth, Heat forward James Jones was fouled hard by Ronnie Price and it was ruled a flagrant one when Jones hit the deck hard. Chris Webber, of NBATV, disagreed with the call, noting the severe size difference between the two players. Ah well, the refs were just doing their jobs.

Lebron James had 14 assists, the most ever by a Miami Heat forward. He also obtained his 29th career triple-double with 20/11/14, his first as a member of the Heat. Paul Millsap led the Jazz with 46 points (three consecutive threes to keep the game within reach), and he was helped by Deron Williams who finished with 21 points and 14 assists, though he fouled out with 4 seconds left.

With three seconds left in regulation, Millsap hit a putback to tie the game and send it into overtime. Dwayne Wade did his thing and scored all of the points for the Heat in the extra inning, finishing the game with 39. AK47 hit his first and only three of the night to pull the Jazz up one with just under two minutes left. After a series of turnovers and fouls, Kirilenko hit two free throws with 20 seconds left to put the Jazz up three. Dwayne Wade answered, hitting a three to tie the game. Wade made a mistake on the next possession, fouling Francisco Elson with four seconds left. Elson hit both free throws for the win.
