Li-Ning would be the Nike of China if Nike weren't already the Nike of China. But the Chinese sneaker company is trying to expand its market and go after American customers. Damon Jones -- aka the "Alfred" of those 2006 NBA Champion Miami Heat -- was the first to endorse Li-Ning, and the company has since won over Baron Davis, Jose Calderon, Evan Turner and the Big Daddy himself, Shaquille O'Neal.

↵This begs the question: will wearing Li-Ning sneakers through airport security make it more likely you’ll be subjected to a patdown? The clip of the customs agents playing ball in the new shoes falls flat only because adidas beat Li-Ning to draw with this season’s “Ad With a Entity Completely Unsuited to Dunking Doing Ridiculous Moves” with its Derrick Rose-Ken Jeong commercial.
