Mark Cuban Is Unimpressed With Mikhail Prokhorov’s Masculinity

Mark Cuban really is a new breed of sports owner. He wedges himself behind the bench instead of in baseline seats or luxury suites. He refuses to wear any shirt that has buttons. He does not wait for criticial moments to fling anger and spittle at referees -- he does it all game. And, of course, he spends gobs and gobs on his team, all in the quest for an NBA championship.

Also, he calls other owners names. Take it away, New York Daily News:

If this turns into anything more than playful teasing from one outspoken NBA owner to another, let it be known that Mark Cuban threw the first punch at Mikhail Prokhorov. And he started with a haymaker.

“He’s a p---y,” Cuban quipped Thursday when asked about Prokhorov.

I assume this is an inside joke, or something. Cuban’s rash, and there’s no question he speaks before thinking on occasion. But this is a bit beyond the bounds of “accidental truth in a room full of reporters.” Of course, if there were own owner you’d expect to call another -- a Russian billionaire, with rumors of an unsavory past -- a p---y, it’d be Cuban.

In my opinion, if this does become real beef, there’s only one way it can be settled: on jet skis.
