Bill Walton As The Kings Coach? Now That Would Be Awesome

At 5-22, the Sacramento Kings are having major problems. After blowing yet another fourth-quarter lead in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks last night, there were rumblings that coach Paul Westphal would be on the way out. Co-owner Joe Maloof shot those down late last night, but it's clear that something is going to have to give soon, at least based on the troubling signs in Sam Amick's report here.

So this begs the question: who would be the next Kings coach if Westphal is fired. Amick threw out one name that should perk your interest.

Could you imagine Bill Walton as a head coach? If you thought Stan Van Gundy was colorful, wait until you hear Bill Walton speaking to a bunch of reporters every single day. He's bound to give 10 amazing quotes a month, at least. Better yet, imagine some of his coaching tactics to his players:
