Josh McRoberts wants to be in the dunk contest All-Star Weekend. What's that? He'd be roughly your 178th choice? Hmm. Perhaps a viral video in which McBob and teammate Brandon Rush re-enact a scene from White Men Can't Jump will change your mind. From the Indianapolis Star's Mike Wells (via Eric Freeman):

The scene, which was filmed at McRoberts’ house, was from when [Woody] Harrelson and [Wesley] Snipes are leaning on a graffiti wall at the end of the movie.
McRoberts and Rush ordered the clothes Harrelson and Snipes wore in the scene off eBay.
An eBay purchase? Now that’s dedication!
The video isn’t out yet, so the true test -- how meme-y is McBob? -- is without resolution. (Lauren Conrad is non-plussed.) But the secondary test -- can McBob dunk? -- that’s something we can investigate.
The kid can dunk! Granted, as is the case with contest hopeful Blake Griffin, most of McBob's best work comes in situations impossible to replicate in the dunk-off setting. In other words, a seer-sucker wearing Kenny Smith has no love to a soaring alley-oop finish during the contest. It's all about creativity, not power. Otherwise, Dwight Howard would never have had to wear that silly cape.
Creative dunks are born of flexibility and athleticism, not just good verts and strength. But a good gimmick never hurt either, so here’s to hoping McBob’s tribute to White Men gets the juices flowin’.
Note to archival historians: note that SBNation.com’s Andrew Sharp suggested Griffin dunk on Harrelson and Snipes in the contest before word of McRoberts’ plan came to light.
