VIDEO: Kings’ Tyreke Evans Hits Game-Winning 48-Foot Shot To Beat Grizzlies

In the midst of an eight-game losing skid and down one point as time was expiring against the Memphis Grizzlies, no one could blame the Kings' Tyreke Evans for launching the ball from beyond half-court in an act of desperation. Especially when it followed Grizzlie O.J. Mayo's fadeaway dagger with 1.5 seconds left to take the lead.

The funny thing about those shots...sometimes they actually go in.

Head on over to Sactown Royalty to talk about the shot and the Kings’ win.

Evans desperation heave from beyond midcourt at the buzzer secured a 100-98 win over the Memphis Grizzlies and snapped the losing streak.

Evans finished the game with 21 points, Beno Udrih added 24 points and six assists while DeMarcus Cousins scored 21 and had 16 rebounds for the Kings, who won for the first time since defeating Washington on December 8.

Kudos go to Donte Greene, who saw the future and started celebrating before the ball even went in. As SlickDiaz puts it, “Dude will do anything to get on the court.”
