Had LeBron said that he, having spent his entire life in northeast Ohio, was sick of snow and wanted a full-time job where it’s always summer ... well, they would still have called him a wuss. But a smart and reasonable wuss, at least.
At no point had the latter justification made more sense than the former ... until today.
The South Florida Business Journal reports that LeBron has bought a $9 million Miami mansion with six bedrooms, 8-1/2 bathrooms and a concrete dock that can accommodate two 60-foot yachts. Not just one 60-foot yacht. Two.
Cleveland, meanwhile? Less than an hour before Wednesday night's game at The Q, only six Cavaliers had made it to the arena because a snowstorm has essentially rendered the city a transit stalemate. Mary Schmitt Boyer of the Cleveland Plain Dealer tweeted that rookie Samardo Samuels had to get out of his car several blocks from the arena and run to the gym while his dad parked the car. Joey Graham was who-knows-where right up until the tip-off, and the arena was as empty as it's been in years.
