Amateur Lithuanian basketball players have all the fun. This weekend, Rolandas Dovydaitis decided to break the record for most three-pointers attempted in a game. LithuaniaBasketball.com doesn’t reveal what the record was, but I think it’s safe to say Dovydaitis was successful. He fired up 124 threes, hitting 24 and scoring 73 points. (Via TrueHoop.)

I commend Dovydaitis for sticking to the plan -- he missed his first 19 attempts, but still fired off another 105 shots. That's swagger Cavs gunner Daniel Gibson can appreciate. In the 2008 Rookie Challenge, Boobie took 11 three-pointers in the first half ... after coming in with 10 minutes left. He ended up taking 20 shots in the game, all of them from behind the arc.

The NBA record for three-point attempts in a game is 21, by Damon Stoudamire in 2005. Mighty Mouse hit just five of those in a rather blatant tank game at the end of the season for the Blazers.
