The Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat put together a grueling overtime Southeast Division battle, with the Hawks coming out on top, 93-89. The Heat had to play without Chris Bosh, but got LeBron James back, while the Hawks lost Al Horford for much of the second half and overtime due to what’s apparently a minor right ankle injury.
Hawks Vs. Heat Final Score: Atlanta 93, Miami 89 In Overtime With LeBron James Back
James blew up for 34 points in his return, backed up by Dwyane Wade’s 27. Joe Johnson and Jamal Crawford led the Hawks with 19 each, with a pair of drives by Josh Smith cutting a late Heat fourth quarter lead and putting the Hawks up for good in overtime.
The Hawks are now only two games behind the Heat in the division and playoff race. The Heat need to get healthy or learn to win hurt, having lost four in a row with Toronto on the way, while the Hawks get New Orleans next.
