Celtics Vs. Lakers Score: Ray Allen Has Boston Up Early At Staples

The turmoil’d Los Angeles Lakers, who’ve lost half of their past six games, are having a tough time getting off the mat against their archrival Boston Celtics. Boston leads 36-27 early in the second quarter in L.A., with Ray Allen hitting all three of his shots, including a three, and both free throws to contribute nine points.

Paul Pierce is today’s leading scorer so far, with 10, but he’s had to take three times as many shots to do it. Boston is dominating the boards, doubling up Los Angeles’ rebounding totals. Kevin Garnett leads with five, backed up by Pierce’s three and Shaquille O’Neal’s two. This is Shaq’s first game in L.A. as a member of the Celtics.

Kobe Bryant has sat with two fouls, only getting six minutes and attempting three shots to this point. Andrew Bynum leads the Lakers with seven points.
