It’s been a back-and-forth game befitting a great rivalry at the Staples Center. The Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have both held significant leads, but Boston’s up 77-72 at the end of the third quarter.
Celtics Vs. Lakers Score: Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce Dueling At End Of Third
Kobe Bryant and Paul Pierce have both gone for 30 points already, and you just know this game is going to come down to one of them making one big shot. They’ve combined for 34 shots so far, giving this game a one-on-one feel so far. Ray Allen and Pau Gasol are the next leading scorers, with 13 and 12.
The Celtics continue to own the boards, thanks to Kevin Garnett’s 11 rebounds. They have shot much better overall too, but they’ve also turned the ball over 11 times — three of those by Kendrick Perkins — to L.A.’s six and have shot eight fewer free throws.
