Charles Barkley Thinks NBA Owners Want To ‘Burn Down The House’
↵When keeping it real goes wrong is really depressing. Here’s Charles Barkley talking about the NBA lockout on NBATV Tuesday:
↵↵“I’ve said all along. I don’t think they’re gonna play this year. ... I think the owners are saying, ‘You know what? We’re gonna do like hockey. We’re gonna have to burn down the house and start over, come in with a cap, and make this thing competitive for all the teams.’ I think that’s what the owners have said from the beginning. They’re not gonna budge this time. They’re gonna hold our feet to the fire, and they’re gonna get what they want, or we’re not gonna play at all this year.”
↵↵You can read more of his comments here, or you can simply ignore this because we’re smack in the middle of the most popular era the NBA’s seen since Michael Jordan, and you’d think it’s impossible that NBA owners would cancel the season and jeopardize all that progress.
↵You would think.
