LeBron James Takes His Talents To A High School Football Field

Noted basketball enthusiast LeBron James currently finds himself without a league to play his chosen sport in. What's a global icon to do?

How bout play a little pigskin?

LeBron suited up and took the practice field with Akron’s St. Vincent-St. Mary football team on Tuesday. Wearing the equipment and uniform of the team’s tallest player, who happened to be injured, LeBron lined up at wide receiver and put on quite a show.

“He caught everything, he didn’t drop a pass,” the quarterback said. “I probably threw six or seven passes his way and he went up and got everything.”

James practiced with the team for an hour before leaving early, so insert your “LeBron Quit/Didn’t Finish” joke here.

James later took to Twitter about the opportunity:

Just got done practicing with the St.V Varsity football team, full pads and all.. Felt great being back on the field. Should I?

Probably not, LeBron. Pretty sure The King’s hamstrings aren’t insured for this.
