VIDEO: Jon Gruden Wants To Put NBA Players To Work

If there's not going to be an NBA season, why let all that athletic talent go to waste? Jon Gruden has a solution: the NBA-to-NFL Player Draft. During a break in action on Monday night, Gruden offered some interesting ideas for where some players would be needed, and was especially enamored with Blake Griffin rushing the passer. Gruden's entire draft is after the jump:

Some of these positions make perfect sense, like Steve Nash playing quarterback. He's a point guard known for distributing the ball and his excellent passing. Griffin as a defensive end makes a lot of sense too, given he's an athletic freak. Gruden also sent Jason Terry to the Packers as a wide receiver, not that they're lacking at that position.

The oddest choice of all however, was Joakim Noah as an outside linebacker to the Ravens. Gruden's reasoning was "because he looks like a Raven." I guess if he's being literal, I could see Noah kind of looking like the bird. As far as being an outside linebacker on the Baltimore Ravens though, I'm not sure how good a 6-foot-11, 230-pound outside linebacker would be. I'd think he'd be more of a tight end.
