#LockoutLife: Saint Kevin Turns To The Dark Side

Kevin Durant starred in another charity game on Sunday, but it’s what happened afterward that bears mentioning. He spent the night drinking “adult beverages” and playing “buray” with friends. “Buray”, in case you didn’t know, is a card game that involves gambling.

And just like that, basketball’s last best chance became just another cautionary tale.

The NBA lockout began on July 1, and there’s no telling when it might end. But November 6th, 2011 will be the date that lives in infamy. When the best and brightest succumbed to the dark side.

Next thing you know, Saint Kevin will be partying with JR Rider and Michael Beasley and he’ll call up that kid who invited him to flag football and curse him the f*** out. Then he’ll do a verse on that new Larry Hughes and Allen Iverson Watch The Throne-themed mixtape (Watch The Bench) and Joakim Noah will convince him to try LSD. He’ll stop showering for a few months because why not? Then he’ll be spotted at a cockfight with Marcus Vick, camera phone photos will show up on Deadspin, he and Andray Blatche will start a night club together, Nick Young will burn the club down by accident, Michael Beasley will offer to get him back on his feet and BOOM next thing you know KD’s financing a Ponzi scheme. Then he’ll be caught giving Clay Bennet an indian burn, he’ll announce his retirement in a rambling YouTube video, TMZ will find him in China with Stephon Marbury, he’ll deny he ever retired and blame the whole thing on hysterical media, and eventually, after all that, Nike will be forced terminate his endorsement contract. And basketball will finally stop.

All because of the NBA Lockout.
