SB Nation Names 2011-12 Preseason All-Division Teams

Our Southwest Division bloggers from Pounding The Rock (Spurs), Mavs Moneyball (Mavericks) and Straight Outta Vancouver (Grizzlies) laced the preseason teams with legends and younger upstars. Here are the results:

• Center: Marc Gasol
• Forward: Dirk Nowitzki

The Houston Rockets got shut out, though Luis Scola and Kevin Martin were each a runner-up for the second team.

Even though Carmelo Anthony is gone, the Northwest is so forward-heavy that LaMarcus Aldridge is on the second team All-Division squad and Gerald Wallace didn't even get a sniff. Our voters were from Blazer's Edge, Welcome To Loud City (Thunder) and Denver Stiffs (Nuggets).

As you might expect, the Clippers and Lakers dominate the All-Pacific team. In fact, they completely make up the first team. Our voters were from Sactown Royalty (Kings), Bright Side Of The Sun (Suns) and Clips Nation(Clippers).

• Forward: Pau Gasol
• Guard: Chris Paul
• Guard: Kobe Bryant

• Center: Marcin Gortat
• Forward: David Lee
• Forward: Caron Butler
• Guard: Steve Nash

Worth nothing: DeMarcus Cousins was just edged by Gortat, and $43 Million Man DeAndre Jordan didn't receive any votes.

According to our voters -- Posting And Toasting (Knicks), CelticsBlog, Raptors HQ, Liberty Ballers (Sixers) and NetsDaily -- New York has a pretty solid frontcourt.

Andre Iguodala was edged by Pierce by just one vote. Three of the guard spots -- Rondo, D-Will and Holiday -- were unanimous; Evan Turner snuck in the other second team guard vote, and Andrea Bargnani pried loose one second team center ballot.

The Central doesn't have many great scorers; our voters put most of them on the All-Division teams. Our voters were from Blog-A-Bull, BrewHoop (Bucks), Detroit Bad Boys and Fear The Sword (Cavaliers).

Four Bulls and three Pacers sounds about right. Rose was the only unanimous choice here; Jennings lost one first-team vote to Stuckey. It should be noted that Antawn Jamison and Kyrie Irving each got a single second team vote ... but not from our Cavaliers blogger!

Voters from Peninsula Is Mightier (Heat), Peachtree Hoops (Hawks), Bullets Forever (Wizards) and Orlando Pinstriped Post (Magic) had pretty easy choices for the first team.
