Ty Lawson scored 27 points in just 32 minutes on 10-15 shooting as the Denver Nuggets killed the Dallas Mavericks on Monday 115-93. (It wasn't that close.) The Mavericks had lost their opener Sunday to the Miami Heat in humiliating fashion; this version of that same song had to have been just as sour for fans in the American Airlines Center, given that the Nuggets are not considered a title favorite.

The Dallas Mavericks trailed by as many as 33 points in another humiliating loss, this one to the Denver Nuggets.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 on 7-14 shooting, but Lamar Odom had another woozy game (1-10 from the floor, and the Mavs got almost nothing on offense from two starters (Delonte West and Shawn Marion). Danilo Gallinari burned Marion for 15 points and seven rebounds.
In the second quarter, the Nuggets reeled off 20 straight points, and the Mavericks trailed by as many as 33 points.
