The Portland Trail Blazers erased a 12-point second quarter by halftime and ran away in the back half to beat the Sacramento Kings 101-79 to move to 2-0 on the season. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 24 on 10-15 shooting and Gerald Wallace had 25 on 8-11 for Portland. The Blazers didn't get a whole lot out of their guards -- Wes Matthews shot 4-14, Raymond Felton was 2-8 and Jamal Crawford just 2-10, but they didn't need.

Sacramento didn't get much out of its guards either. The starting backcourt duo of Marcus Thornton and Tyreke Evans combined for 47 efficiently-earned points against the L.A. Lakers on Monday, but scored a total of just 18 on Tuesday. Evans was bad, shooting 2-8 for four points with three assists and five turnovers. Thornton shot 5-15 for 14 points.

DeMarcus Cousins led all Kings with 16 points on 7-18 shooting; he also had 11 rebounds in 27 minutes. Evans and Cousins combined for just two turnovers in Monday's win, but nine in Tuesday's loss. The Kings also saw their fortunes reverse from beyond the arc, where they shot 9-18 on Monday and just 3-16 on Tuesday. Jimmer Fredette took the first three-pointers of his NBA career, going 1-5 from deep.

Portland next faces the Nuggets at home on Thursday. The Kings host the Bulls on Thursday.
