Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant were involved in an altercation on the Oklahoma City Thunder bench on Wednesday night, according to a report by Darnell Mayberry. The argument began after Westbrook reportedly shouted an expletive at teammate Thabo Sefolosha after Sefolosha passed up an open shot. After teammates converged on Westbrook to attempt to calm him down, Durant and the young guard went at it, verbally, during a timeout and had to be separated.

Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were reportedly involved in a mid-game altercation on Wednesday night.
The two were on the court with each other a short time later, with little to indicate there had been a problem. According to Durant, there is no problem, and whatever issue there was at the time is over (via Darnell Mayberry at News OK).
“We’re going to disagree sometimes, like I’ve always been saying,” Durant said. “But I’m behind him 110 percent, and he’s the same way with me. And you seen when we came on the floor we clicked and everything started to work from there.”
The reported altercation comes just days into the season, and on the heels of the relationship between Durant and Westbrook being put under the microscope during the 2011 NBA playoffs. Westbrook’s tendency to refrain from sharing the ball -- at the expense of Durant -- was often analyzed throughout the Thunder’s playoff run.
