Mike Conley had to take a seat rather early in Wednesday night's Memphis Grizzlies loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a rolled ankle. Video of the injury looked horrendous, but the point guard apparently believes the injury looked a lot worse than it actually ended up being.

Conley had been favoring his left ankle since injuring it during the preseason, but had to miss nearly the entire game after coming down on the foot of Kendrick Perkins during the first play of Wednesday night's affair. After the game, speculation was that he could be forced to miss a couple of games, according to the Commercial Appeal.

But now it looks as if Conley will miss several days, and perhaps the next two games. The ankle is swollen and Conley wore a walking boot after the game.

“It scared me at first,” Conley said. “I tried to run on it but it just wasn’t feeling good.”

For those that missed exactly what happened, CBS Sports provided video of the injury:

With Conley out, the Grizzlies will rely on free agent signing Jeremy Pargo and rookie draft pick Josh Selby. Both players played well in Conley's absence Wednesday, but it still ended in a loss.
