If someone from the future had showed Carr’s “Hit The Road, Jack” to them, a la the NBA’s current slate of time-travelers-visit-stars commercials, do you think they would have? If someone had told Ray Charles that Austin Carr would eventually murder the “What you say?” in the song on live television, would Austin Carr be breathing today?
