He was the first Knick to be introduced, and like you'd expect, the applause in Madison Square Garden was deafening. One writer said he hadn't heard it that loud since Larry Johnson's four-pointer to beat the Pacers in 1999. "The reaction was great," Carmelo said. "I've never experienced anything like that before."
