The Los Angeles Lakers beat the Oklahoma City Thunder, 90-87, in a great game with a tense finish capped by a great Kobe Bryant jumper. The Thunder had a chance to tie it up, but missed a pair of threes with an offensive rebound in the middle.
Lakers Vs. Thunder Final Score: Kobe Bryant Jumper Ices 90-87 L.A. Win
The Lakers spread the ball around well, with Bryant, Pau Gasol, Andrew Bynum, and Ron Artest all scoring 10 or more, while Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant broke 20 for Oklahoma City. The Thunder cooled down after their ridiculous first half, during which they shot better than 60 percent, winding up shooting a little worse than L.A. for the game.
Still, it’s impressive that a Thunder team at less than full strength — as in, minus new acquisition Kendrick Perkins — was just as capable as last year’s playoff team at giving Los Angeles everything it could handle.
