Kendrick Perkins has already thrown out a perfectly good pair of shoes and shunned a bottle of medicine while trying to get past the trade that sent him from the Boston Celtics to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He says he doesn't "want to see anything green" as he adjusts to life in Oklahoma.
The obvious joke to make about an NBA player who doesn't like green is something about cash, but Perkins has already headed that one off by investing entirely in sacks of junk silver in advance of the coming revolution. Gold is too volatile, and platinum is too easy to misplace.
Kendrick Perkins Avoiding Everything Green Since Being Traded By The Celtics
↵He’ll also need to steer clear of Oklahoma’s Green Country, which spans most of the northwestern corner of the state, depending on who’s asking. Since its borders are vague, a licensed surveyor will need to be assigned by the NBA to Perkins’ side. Oklahoma also has a Green Party, a government Go Green initiative, and one of the region’s finest green building summits to avoid.
