Derrick Rose and Luol Deng are absolutely unconscious, and they’ve got the Chicago Bulls out to a lead over the Atlanta Hawks, with the score sitting at 31-21 at the end of the first quarter. Deng has shot 6-7, including his 100th three-point field goal of the season, while Rose has dished out five dimes, the same number as the entire Atlanta Hawks team. Al Horford has been fantastic so far for Atlanta, scoring 10 points and keeping Chicago from getting any inside scoring going, but he hasn’t gotten a ton of help from his teammates on either end of the floor.
Bulls Vs. Hawks Score: Derrick Rose And Luol Deng On Fire, Chicago Leads
Josh Smith has picked up two fouls already for Atlanta, and looked visibly frustrated as he was substituted out eight minutes into the game. When he exited and Zaza Pachulia entered, Chicago gained a big speed advantage over Atlanta, which they used well. Atlanta had even less of an answer for Deng and Rose in the final four minutes of the quarter.
