LeBron James is back in Cleveland as his Miami Heat take on the Cavaliers once again. The last time King James arrived on the shore of Lake Erie, Cleveland met him with raucous vitriol ... until the Heat took command and blew the bad Cavs out of the water. The pre-game drama is precipitously less prolific this time, as ... oh wait.
Cleveland Cavaliers Parking Garage Staff Tweaks LeBron James
ESPN.com’s Brian Windhorst reports that when LeBron and a few associates arrived for the Heat’s shootaround at Quicken Loans Arena in C-Town Tuesday morning, Cavs-employed parking garage staff turned them away. Why? Only players -- not drivers, not entourage members -- are allowed access to the arena via the underground garage.
So LeBron’s crew left, and James returned driving one of the cars a little while later. When he played for the Cavs, Windhorst says, LeBron regularly used a driver to take him to shootaround. Visiting players -- especially those largely reviled in Cleveland -- don’t get those privileges.
