The Miami Heat have now lost three of their last four games, and there are two lessons to take away from this: they are not only the worst basketball players in the entire world, but terrible human beings. I don't think anyone would debate either of those points, especially not after reading this statistical nugget from Michael Wallace (via Quickish):
Miami Heat The NBA’s Worst At Final-Seconds Shots
↵↵Heat now NBA-worst 1-for-14 on potential tying or go-ahead shots in last 10 seconds of 4th qtr or OT this yr, according to Elias.
↵↵That’s shooting 7%, which is pretty bad. But the real bummer of it, at least to me, is that we’ve only seen one win in the final 10 seconds from these guys. In fact, of the Heat’s 43 wins this season, only two have been decided by a single possession, and only two have been won in overtime. Their job, of course, is simply to win rather than to win with any sort of flair, so this isn’t their problem. They just aren’t in the business of dramatic wins, apparently.
↵Thankfully, they are still first in the league at LeBron James hitting Chris Bosh in the face.
