Ty Lawson hit 10 straight three-pointers in the Denver Nuggets' laugher over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday, missing his 11th attempt ... which happened to be a flying heave at the third quarter buzzer. The 10th make, a 25-foot bomb from the elbow extended, is particularly glorious.

As it is, Lawson broke the record for most consecutive threes without a miss. He became the first player in NBA history to hit 10 threes in a game on fewer than 13 attempts. And he challenged the NBA record for most threes in a game, shared by Donyell Marshall and Kobe Bryant with 12.
But the truly glorious factoid is that it came against the Wolves, who picked Lawson No. 18 in the 2009 NBA Draft, then traded him to Denver for a 2010 first-round pick. That pick and the unguaranteed contract of Ryan Gomes became Martell Webster, an older, role-playing small forward. The Wolves were set at point guard, you see, with Ricky Rubio and Jonny Flynn, which the team picked Nos. 5 and 6 in that very 2009 NBA Draft.
Rubio and Flynn have a combined 31 NBA three-pointers this season.
