The New York Knicks are leading the Chicago Bulls by a score of 27-24, but for some reason, that doesn’t feel like the case. Carmelo Anthony has 11 points on four made field goals and two made free throws, but for some reason, I just want to write about how entertaining Derrick Rose is. Rose, by the way, shot 2-7 from the floor and dished out two dimes, an average or slightly below average line for him.
Bulls Vs. Knicks Score: New York Leads After First Quarter, Carmelo Anthony Hot
It’s obvious to see where all of this MVP talk is from when you think about it. Rose is not having a mind-blowing statistical year, but there’s just something about him. He had one great assist to Joakim Noah and one stunning alley-oop finish of his own. Despite the fact that he’s shooting poorly and Anthony is shooting brilliantly, Rose stole the show in the first quarter. He does this in basically every single game.
Wait, the Knicks are winning?
By the way, both coaches elected to play their starters the entirety of the first quarter for some absurd reason. Both teams have predictably started the second quarter with second units on the floor. We’ll know by the third quarter whether or not anyone’s getting rested.
