Ronnie Brewer is not having a good night. First, the Bulls guard was the unfortunate victim of a little shot to the man area, and then he went and injured his left thumb. His injury has been confirmed as a sprain, and he will not return to Tuesday night’s game between the Bulls and Knicks, as confirmed by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.
Ronnie Brewer Injury: Sprained Left Thumb Takes Guard Out Of Bulls Vs. Knicks
Ronnie Brewer is now out with that sprained left thumb. Will not return.
Brewer played eight minutes in the second quarter for the Bulls, but struggled in his time on the floor. Still, heading into the NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs, the Bulls need every single body that they can get, and they won’t be happy to see their bench get potentially thinner. At this point, there’s no long term prognosis or report on the severity of the sprain.
