Hornets Vs. Lakers Final Score: Chris Paul, Jarrett Jack Power New Orleans Upset

Chris Paul played a major role in the New Orleans Hornets stealing home court advantage from the Los Angeles Lakers with a 109-100 win: this does not surprise you. The point guard posted 28 points and 14 assists, hit crucial shots down the stretch, turned the ball over only twice, and even grabbed seven boards. But how about his backup?

Jarrett Jack added 15 points and three assists of his own, leading a big Staples Center day for New Orleans’ bench. Five Hornets finished in double figures, compared to only three Lakers. Kobe Bryant scored 34, but he’s only one man.

New Orleans led almost the entire game, extending the margin to its widest near the end despite losing center Aaron Gray to an ankle injury. After the game, Paul described Gray as the player of the game, adding, “we need him.”
