Sixers Vs. Heat Score: LeBron James And Company Lead After Ugly First

The Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers are putting together a beauty in Game 2 of their Eastern Conference series. The Heat lead 19-13 at the end of the first, thanks in large part to a dazzling 20 percent shooting performance by Philly.

Miami's offense hasn't looked all that much better, with Dwyane Wade and LeBron James hitting just a combined three shots from the field. The outstanding performer of the first quarter was Zydrunas Ilgauskas, I guess, who had five rebounds and three points. That's kind of a lotta rebounds!

The all-white-everything south Florida crowd is clearly affecting the sight lines in the arena, leading to such a poor opening period. That excuse worked for the NCAA Final Four, so why not the NBA playoffs? Whatever.

For more on this game, 76ers fans should join Liberty Ballers and SB Nation Philly, and Heat fans should join Peninsula Is Mightier.
