Memphis didn’t make it easy but San Antonio survived Game 2, 93-87 to even the series at 1-1. The Spurs got 17 points and seven rebounds from Manu Ginobli in his return to the court after sitting out Game 1 with a hyperextended elbow. Tim Duncan recorded a double-double with 16 points and 10 boards before fouling out late.
Grizzlies Vs. Spurs Score: George Hill Helps San Antonio Close Out Memphis 93-87
The Spurs led by five with under a minute to go when Sam Young hit a three to close the gap to just two points. The Spurs George Hill also scored 16 for the Spurs and helped ice the game converting four free throws and grabbing a big defensive rebound down the stretch.
Young led the Grizzlies with 17 points. Tony Allen added 15 while Marc Gasol had 12 points and 17 rebounds for Memphis.
The series now shifts to Memphis where the Grizzlies have to be confident after splitting the two games in San Antonio.
