The Indiana Pacers turned up the defense in the first half to capture a commanding 49-33 lead over the Chicago Bulls. Danny Granger and Paul George each scored nine points for the Pacers. The Indiana defense turned up the pressure, forcing the Bulls into 11 first half turnovers which led to 18 points by the Pacers.

Derrick Rose injured his ankle late in the first quarter, but returned to the game in the second. He leads the Bulls with 10 points at the half. Joakim Noah has nine points while Carlos Boozer added seven, but Boozer is once again in foul trouble with three in the first half.
The Pacers have enjoyed leads in each of the first three games, but have been unable to hold them coming down the stretch.
