The San Antonio Spurs will not go gentle into that good night after all.
Spurs Vs. Grizzlies Score: Neal’s Buzzer-Beater Sends Game To Overtime, 97-97
With seconds remaining, Manu Ginobli’s hit a game-tying three-pointer that looked to send the game to overtime. Instead it was reversed and called a two.
After two Memphis free throws, the Spurs looked out of chances to redeem their season. That’s when Gary Neal took the ball at the top of the three-point line and drilled a three-pointer, sending the game to overtime, tied at 97-97.
The fire folks have been waiting to see from the Spurs seems to have finally appeared and just in time. Ginobli and Parker have put the team on their backs, scoring 30 and 29 respectively. Tim Duncan has 13 points and 11 rebounds.
For Memphis, Zach Randolph leads the way with 24 points.
And now, five minutes separate the Grizzlies from one of the biggest playoff upsets in NBA history. Or the Spurs from preventing it…for now.
