Mavericks Vs. Blazers Final Score: Dallas Closes Out Portland With 103-96 Win
The Dallas Mavericks eliminated the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night with a 103-96 win at the Rose Garden. The Blazers made a run in the fourth quarter, propelled by an outstanding performance from Gerald Wallace, but ran out of gas and time as the Mavericks bled out the clock and wore Portland down.
Dirk Nowitzki had a double-double, finishing with a game-high 33 points and 11 rebounds. Jason Terry was outstanding off the bench again with 22 points and eight assists. Shawn Marion was also in double-figures with 16 points. Jason Kidd had six assists but scored just seven points.

Mavericks Vs. Blazers, Game 6: Brandon Roy Hopes To Rekindle Magic
Instead, Dallas smacked Portland in the mouth in Game 5, retaking the series lead and setting up two elimination games for the Blazers, the first of which will be played Thursday at 10:30 p.m. ET on TNT. Now no one knows what to think, except those that realized that this would be among the NBA’s closest fought first-round series, and who fully expect another twist or two simply because the teams are pretty evenly matched and because the 2-2-1-1-1 home-road format of the NBA Playoffs increases the likelihood of long series.
But it’d be understandable if one wanted to keep tabs on Roy, given the heroics in the Rose Garden over the week. Be sure to check out our Mavericks vs. Blazers hub for full series coverage.
