Bulls’ Derrick Rose Making Headlines, But It’s Joakim Noah Who’s Burying The Hawks

Derrick Rose is the MVP, but it is the play of Joakim Noah that has the Bulls back in control of their second round series against the Atlanta Hawks. In Chicago’s Game 2 and Game 3 victories, all Noah has done is total 29 rebounds with 15 coming on the offensive end of the floor. Noah has more rebounds than points but his play is overshadowing the entire Atlanta Hawks front line of Al Horford, Josh Smith, and Marvin Williams.

↵If you look back to Atlanta’s Game 1 victory, that was the only game in which the Hawks were virtually even with the Bulls in rebounding. In that game Noah had nine boards but only one offensive rebound. Consequently, Al Horford had a nice night in Game 1 with 13 rebounds.

↵While rebounding is just one of the problems that Chicago presents to Atlanta, the impact Noah has had on this series can’t be understated.
