Governor Of Ohio Declares Dallas Mavericks Honorary Ohioans

Usually, when an athlete spurns one team for another, it's the fans of that specific city that carry the grudge with them. LeBron James' decision to leave Cleveland was so egregious that the entire state of Ohio seems to be taking pleasure in his NBA Finals loss with the Miami Heat.

Sunday night, Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert tweeted a little reminder in LeBron's direction. On Monday, the governor of Ohio made an official resolution on the matter.

Without naming James, Kasich's resolution commends the Mavs for their "loyalty, integrity and teamwork." He also makes them honorary Ohioans.

The resolution singles out MVP Dirk Nowitzki for choosing to re-sign with the Mavericks and forego free agency in the summer of 2010, "thus remaining loyal to the team, city and fans for whom he played his entire career."

The resolution went on to say "the proud city of Cleveland and the entire state of Ohio share in the excitement of Dallas Mavericks fans everywhere."

Sorry, LeBron, you should probably just get used to this stuff.
