Heat Vs. Mavericks Game 3 Update: Miami Leads At End Of First Quarter

The Miami Heat overcame a dizzying start by the Dallas Mavericks to take a 29-22 lead into the first buzzer, with Dwyane Wade and LeBron James leading the way at eight points each. The score was tight Miami closed out the quarter with a string of highlights in the final minute; Mario Chalmers drained a buzzer-beating three from nearly half court shortly after James hammered home a tomahawk in traffic.

The home team's hot hand ended the quarter connecting on only half of its shots. Dirk Nowitzki has found space to attempt just two shots from the floor, putting up only a pair of points so far.
