Dirk Nowitzki: Jason Terry Hasn’t Been A Clutch Player

Jason Terry had gone out of his way to call out the Miami Heat every opportunity he's had during the 2011 NBA Finals all-the-while not noticing the fact that he's just as guilty of all the things he's calling them out on.

Well, someone finally decided to throw it back at Terry. No, not Chris Bosh. And no, not even LeBron. It was...Dirk???

“Jet (Terry’s nickname) hasn’t really been a crunchtime, clutch player for us the way we need him to,” Nowitzki said Monday. “We have to find a way to get Jet some freedom and get him off some movement, and he’s got to make some shots for us.”

Terry either hasn't heard those comments yet or refuses to acknowledge them. Either way, Terry isn't quite sure how many days or games are left in this series, all he knows is that the Mavericks are going to need their trusty steeds in order to right their wrongs.

“We’re going to have to ride our horses. It’s just going to have to be something we have to do,” Terry said. “They’re doing it on their end. Hey, you got eight, seven days, however many days are left in this series. If you can’t go out there and play 40-plus minutes as a major cog in the wheel, then you shouldn’t be here.”
