Gilbert Arenas Fined By NBA For A Little Too Much Fun On Twitter
Gilbert Arenas joined Twitter a week ago, but the honeymoon with the NBA is already over. This week, the league fined him for unspecified violations of NBA conduct. Could it be that Gilbert was just a little too awesome for the NBA's tastes? As he captioned the photo above, "Nothing wrong w lickin groupies from time to time..(Grouper)."
The funniest part about this is that the NBA didn’t specify which tweets violated their social media policy. Almost like their fining Gil just for just the general tone of his Twitter account.
You can follow Gilbert at @agentzeroshow and you should, because it’s mostly the old, fun, completely insane Gilbert. Not the weird, super depressing Gil that we saw towards the end in Washington D.C. Once the news broke, he explained the fine on Twitter, of course.
From Gilbert: “yes the nba has fined me....for being to awesome..so i can give you the shoes for FREE but gotta charge you for the jokes...i cant believe i got fined..how do i explain this to the lady at the bank...this is gonna take another 40mins... or i could just write a check and if theres a lockout just cancel the check it and maybe they will forget.....i think that will work..”
In any case, it all evens out in the end.
